Our Story
Mountain Area Youth Organization (M.A.Y.O)
Mountain Area Youth Organization is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization founded in 1999 with the purpose of providing a safe space for the youth of the mountain communities to come together for fun enrichment programs that further the growth of each individual.
ENRICHMENT
Mountain Youth Clubs (MY Club) offers enrichment programs with a heavy focus on homework help, Keeping Fit, STEM, Leadership and Arts & Crafts. Our Enrichment programs follow our School District partners school schedules to provide for After School, Intercession/Vacation/Holiday programming at Coarsegold, North Fork, Oakhurst, Rivergold, Spring Valley and Wasuma Elementary Schools.
SPORTS
In 2024, MY Club offered Basketball, Flag Football and Volleyball leagues. We have also added fundamental sports camps for Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Lacrosse and Soccer. MY Club is committed to maintaining league registration to cover minimal costs to ensure that all children have access to youth sports. Current MY Club sports fees are $20 for sports leagues and camps.
SCHOLARSHIPS
MY Club provides several scholarships to youth in our communities through our Youth Ambassador Program.
SUMMER JOBS
In 2024, MY Club expanded our Summer Jobs Program to employ 14 High School students as Junior Program Assistants and Lifeguards.
